Join Making Space Mega Miles Month this August (1st-31st) and raise money for Making Space or you can choose to support your local Making Space service. All you have to do is walk, run, cycle or use a wheelchair or walking aid as much as possible during the month of August. Keep track of the miles you have achieved (apps like Strava are useful for this) and gain sponsorship as you go.
We would recommend you get a team of colleagues, family and friends involved to get your mileage up and reach your team goal. If you are a Making Space service taking part then get volunteers and the people you support involved too. The best thing about Mega Miles Month is that everyone can take part as you don’t have to put in huge miles to help your team, every bit helps and you can choose a target to reach over the course of the month that is achievable but challenging for you all.
If you and your team would like to get involved in Making Space Mega Miles 2024 then all you have to do is-
-Decide on a target mileage that works for you and your team. Think about how many people are taking part, if they will mainly be walking, running or cycling and then pick a mileage target that is achievable but challenging.
-Join the Making Space Mega Miles Team Fundraiser. Click on the green add page button and then create a page for your service. It’s really important that you create a separate page for your own team so, you get your donations and sponsorship money. We would recommend you contact the fundraising team and we can set up the page with you, if you're unsure.
