Fundraiser - Ant's Jump in July

Story

I'm Ant and this July, I am taking part in a skydive for Making Space on the 11th of July! I am raising money for Making Space service, St Helens Family Support.

Our daughter is in recovery from a ketamine addiction. St Helens Family Support were vital to us as a family when our daughter was in active addiction for advice, support and respite activities.

I have received support from St Helens Family Support, and my wife regularly attended the group sessions with the team as well as 1-1 sessions. Our daughter is in recovery from a ketamine addiction, and now she's doing well, my wife volunteers for the service and has also done some fundraising for them. She can't do the skydive, so asked me to get involved and here I am!

The work the team do with family members is really important. There are statutory services to support people struggling with addiction but not for the families. Addiction is a family disease. This skydive means I can raise money so the team at St Helens Family Support can continue to provide respite activities and other vital services. I have always been curious about skydiving, now it is booked I am nervous but excited.
