I’m Paul and I am Making Space’s Chief Financial Officer but this November, I’m going to be throwing the calculator and spreadsheets away in favour of a pair of dancing shoes and a sprinkling of glitter as I take part in ‘Strictly Come Razzing.’
The event is organised by a fantastic theatre school called Razzamataz Carlisle, where students, parents and staff are given the chance to take part in an amazing evening of dance, happiness and fundraising. I will be competing along with 8 other couples to win the Razz glitter ball trophy. We’re putting lots of time into rehearsals in the hope that even Craig would give us a 10!
I am thrilled (and quite nervous) to be taking part as my son has been going to Razz since he was two years old. He loves it and it’s opened up loads of opportunities for him including starring in the Priscilla Queen of the Desert touring production alongside 2017 Strictly winner, Joe McFadden. I would love a few tips from him before strutting my stuff in November!
Strictly Come Razzing will take place at The Halston, Carlisle on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th November. The event will be supporting two charities but anyone taking part has the opportunity to raise money for a charity of their choice, we get to keep all our own sponsorship money that we raise for that charity and a percentage of the overall fundraising total too.
I’ve chosen to support Making Space as I see on a daily basis the difference our teams make to people living with dementia, mental health conditions, older people and unpaid carers.
Please sponsor me today. I would really appreciate your support.
There are still tickets available too, if you fancy coming to watch. Click here.
